Mary K. Smith (Age 95) passed away in Dowling Park, FL on August 2, 2017. Mary was born in Melville, Saskatchewan on January 2, 1922. She moved to the United States in 1952, living in Buffalo, NY and Chicago Heights, IL before moving to Ocala in 1991. She lived in Advent Christian Village, Dowling Park, FL since 2010.
Mary is predeceased by her husband John Smith (2011); and her daughter Joyce Lowman (2015). She is survived by her daughter Brenda and son-in-law Dan Van Ness of Winchester, VA, son-in-law Rex Lowman of Chicago, IL, grandson Michael and his wife Katie Van Ness of Pittsburgh, PA, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 pm, Friday, August 11 at Ocala West Church of the Nazarene, 5884 SW 60th Ave, Ocala, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be sent to Prison Fellowship International, PO Box 17434, Washington, DC 20041 (designated for Sycamore Tree Project) or to Advent Christian Village, Dowling Park, FL.
