Betty Joan Bradshaw passed away on March 17th, 2017 at the age of 77. She passed at home in Ocala, Florida. Betty Joan Cullum was born at home in Hanson, Oklahoma to Buck Cullum and Ruby E. Anderson Cullum.
Betty Jo, as all who loved her affectionately called her, grew up in the Hanson and Sallisaw areas of Oklahoma. She graduated from Sallisaw High School and attended secretary college in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
On November 8th, 1963, she was united in marriage to Henry Lee Bradshaw at the United Methodist Church in Odessa, Texas. On September 1st, 1964, she gave birth to her son Carl Wayne Bradshaw. In 1966 Betty and her family moved to Tripoli, Libya, North Africa where she lived for twelve years. She moved back to Sallisaw, Oklahoma, so her son could finish high school
Betty was a devoted mother and housewife. She loved having dinner parties, cooking, traveling, sporting events, and music.
Betty is survived by her husband Henry Bradshaw residing in Ocala, Florida; her son Carl and his wife Bridget residing in Bahrain; along with her granddaughter Ayla and grandson Delta. Betty also has one surviving brother and two surviving sisters of Hanson and Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents Buck and Ruby Cullum, three sisters, and two brothers.
Betty loved her life and her family. She taught us how to laugh, love, and enjoy the important things in life.
