Elaine Palmer Hutchinson was born on October 3, 1929 and raised in Bronx, New York. She married her late husband on February 14, 1948 and together they had 5 children. Though she never lost her accent, or her love for the city she left and became a longtime resident of Ocala, Florida. Here she became a friend to many, traveled the world, and shared ice cream and desserts with her beloved dog, Dutchie. She was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother,grandmother and friend. She was always thinking of others first.
Elaine is preceded in death by her loving husband, Clarence Hutchinson, her dear Granddaughter Heather and Great- Grandson Christopher, whom welcomed Elaine, (their beloved Nanny) at age 87, with loving arms into the Kingdom on January 17. 2017.
• Our mom is survived by her first-born daughter Stacy Leonardo (Ocala, FL) including her son John Kaspar and his sons Matthew and Anthony along with Great-Great Grandson Sebastian and daughter Ali. Stacy’s daughter Donna Kern along with her sons Kyle and Tyler.
• Karen Wheatley (Denville,NJ), along with her love, Tony. Karen’s son Michael Wheatley, his Fiance’ Ashley along with their daughter Mikayla. Her daughter Liza, along with her love, Billy and their sons Eric and Aden. Her youngest son, David and his daughter, Miya.
• Donna Marshall (Fredericksburg, VA) along with loving husband Dave.
Her daughter Julie VanHorn and husband, Dan along with their children, Dylan, David and Claire. Her daughter, Jennifer Ware and her husband Ray with their five children. Her son Jason Detrick and his wife and their three children.
• Her one and only son, William “Billy” Hutchinson (Ocala, FL), and his loving wife, Ellen- who spent many days brightening Elaine’s afternoons with her stories and interest of the mother to her husband. Their sons, Brian and his wife Rose along with their children, Dane and Jace. Thomas and his wife Jessica with daughters Raylin and Ainsley and Hunter who shared those afternoon visits as well to his Nanny
• And lastly, the youngest of the family, Lori Smith (Ocala, FL) and her God-given Brian “Bam” along with the children she shares with God’s grace,.. Jaime Miale, and her daughter, Amber who Nanny lovingly called, “Jack in the box!”. Son, Luke Miale and his loving wife, Caitlin. Mattie Eliza Mohler and Riley Laine Mohler.
A private service will be held at a later date and her cremains were shared amongst her children.
